Why Wabasha?
W
abasha is one of the last of the Old
Rivertowns. Located in the beautiful Hiawatha Valley, it
hugs the Mississippi River along the way and is protected by
the towering limestone bluffs and hardwood forests on both
the Minnesota and Wisconsin sides.
It is one of the most
beautiful areas in the U.S. Wabasha boasts all the things
that interests tourists and vacationers. The bluff top golf
course is the most exciting and scenic in the state.
Fishing on the river, lakes and sloughs is always excellent
with a wide variety of fish available.
Within a block of the
Anderson House is an Antique Center, Old City Hall and
Wabasha Old Town Shops. The year round indoor flea market
features antiques, home baked items, a farmer's market and
other interesting features. Lark Toys and Arrowhead Bluff
exhibits are both a must see.
